Amie and Brad are the quintessential fun-loving couple. Fun in the sense that a photo-bomb in a ten kilo dress is embraced, as is a leap of faith from the dunes. Loving is a pretty obvious one (and rather conclusive seeing as we are about to see their Rosemount wedding), but loving in the shared smiles, the exchanged glances that result in a little welling up of the eyes and the extreme excitement as they committed their lives together.
We met Brad and Amie a few months before their day for a sensationally beautiful Engagement shoot. To see it click here.
Now who says a high school romance isn’t the start of a blessed life together? Certainly not us and these two legends stand as testament to the fact that love finds us where we are at the time that is right. While Amie waited patiently for Brad to propose, he was planning up a spectacular moment: Ayers Rock on Amie’s birthday (worth the nearly 8 years I reckon!).
Love and Romance formed the theme of this classical beautiful wedding.

Clio’s on Rosemount set the stage for Brad and Amie’s wedding day.
Truly a princess-inspired gown! Amie wore Alfred Angelo from Cooper Jackson Bridal in Brisbane, and the moderations were done by Marilyn Crystelle. “Marilyn was amazing – I changed the whole top of my dress (front and back) and all I did was say what I wanted and she made it more beautiful than I could have ever thought.”
“Most of the people at our wedding commented that the best thing about our wedding was how in love we were. During our ceremony, we didn’t even realise that there were 100 people watching, it just felt like it was us and Tim (our pastor).”
“We wrote our own vows, and I think that was really good. It’s the most amazing feeling to hear your partner declare his love for you and it makes it even more special when he says exactly how he feels about you and your relationship together. It was also great to do it with all of our family and friends around – at one stage we were contemplating eloping and I’m so glad we didn’t. It was so great to share it with our loved ones. We also got married on our 9 year anniversary, so that made it really special for us.”
Amie and Brad are the perfect blend of Beach Belle and Country Lad. To satisfy and represent them both we found a couple of lovely special spots for their wedding photography Rosemount and the beach.
“Our photographer (Matt Rowe) was great. He knew the type of photos we wanted and found locations to suit both of us! He was amazing!!” (Aw, shucks!)

Because Amie is such a legend she has a few things she wanted to share with future brides (read on for some great tips).
“Relax! I really didn’t like planning our wedding – I was so stressed and worried that it wouldn’t be perfect, but when it got to the actual day I was so relaxed and I loved every minute of it. The day goes so fast and you just need to remember to enjoy it and have fun! My tips for planning the wedding would be: don’t do your own invitations (they are so stressful and take way too long to make), don’t go overboard on expensive venues – ours was really well priced and it was perfect – we wouldn’t have had it at any other place, don’t stress about the little things – about a week before the wedding our transport plans fell through and we didn’t stress about it and just had to go with Plan B and I’m so glad we did. It seriously is the most amazing day and you really want to appreciate everything that you have, especially your new husband!”
