What comes to mind when you think of classic wedding photography? It’s not traditional ‘look at the camera’ and smile stuff, it’s about capturing essence and creating longevity beyond fads. Wedding images should last the test of time (apart from the 80s which really did no one any good!). Classic wedding photography should reflect the couple – their dynamic and personalities. For us, Vikki and Bryan are classic in the sense that their love is intensely real and they have an ease in their interactions that shows more than understanding.. and they are FUN!
Vikki’s Bridesmaids (in addition to being such sweethearts) were dressed in floral. Everything about this wedding was classic and beautiful but also darn spectacular, colourful and VIBRANT. Of course the theme of a wedding reflects the couple and I would have no hesitation describing V & B as vibrant individuals and a super sweet couple.
Hmmm… only one preparation photo of Bryan? Yes, it’s true. When Matt arrived the only part of Bryan’s getup ready for action were his shoes and cuff links. Nothing like a little drama and apprehension to check the ticker on your big day. Never fear: with moments to spare his suit ‘flew’ up from the big smoke and all was well. Phew!

Vikki and Bryan had two sets of speeches and cake sharing. The first occurred after their ceremony at Immanuel Lutheran Church, and the second at their reception (Ebb Restaurant). Such a super idea to include all those loved ones who are there to celebrate your love. Seriously this cake by Sweetheart Cakes is almost beyond amazing! We also have to give a celebratory ‘high-five’ to Nambour Hospital Florist for these divine bouquets.
The image above is a true favourite of mine. I love it!
I just had to put this above photo in in its original capture. You can see Matt hard at work here. Not often your photographer gets in on the action within the frame (Don’t worry, we have cropped out his delightful mug for Vikki and Bryan!).
First dances are just cool; amidst all the people you get to drown out the surroundings and focus on each-other.
Have you see a more proud dad?
