We are oh-so-excited to share this artistic wedding, with two lovelies- Katrina and Attila! From Stunning florals to a celebrant in a ‘shrug’ we take a journey which highlights love and laughter (complete with fluffy grass and one beautiful sunset). Wow.
We met at our last job on a mine site. Yes we were those people, mine site relationship. I was in processing department and Kat worked in travel/admin, so she was the first person everyone met when they came to site. Every time I had to go into the office I couldn’t take my eyes off of her and the flirting just rolled out of my mouth. It was like I was possessed every time I came into see her, no self-control with how I acted around her.
Nice one, Jarrad Baylis Celebrant!
We work very well for each other and we complement each-other’s personalities. I believe I have helped her chill out and relax a lot. She has made me a more confident person. We are a very strong couple and support each other immensely.
Attila tells us about the proposal:“I organized a weekend to Mount Tambourine for our 2 year anniversary. We stayed in a cliff side old cottage with a fire place. I’d organized a picnic basket of food and champagne for the day of our anniversary not know what or how I’d use it. Originally the morning of our 2 years I’d planned to propose at sunset, but because we both love our sleep, we slept in. In the afternoon kat went for a sleep and I went to pick up the hamper. Only deciding then, I was googling like crazy to find a location to propose (1hr till sunset). Unfortunately the spot I wanted actually had a wedding happening there. Moved to plan B, I need to find a lookout. I checked out the spot and it had to do (30mins till sunset). Drove back to pick up Kat and told her I had a surprise for her. Drove to the location, it was a dead end that overlooked the valley. She set up the blanket as I got the hamper and stashed the ring and box in my jumper pocket. We sat down and enjoyed our nibblies as the sun was just about down. I knew she was probably thinking I was going to propose so I waited long enough to let her have her doubts to steer her off track. Just about as the sun set, I got her to stand in front of the lookout to take a photo of her. I asked her to turn around facing the sun, and when she turned around I was on one knee and asked her to marry me.”
