Meet Katy and Paul who were married on one glorious day in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. They shared vows at Flaxton Gardens and then headed off to our secret location. They define their connection as: laid back with fun crude sense of humour as they love to laugh. How did you meet? Palmwoods Pub – I was working behind the bar – he would come in and hit on me! Tell us about the proposal – Paul took me whale watching and he proposed on the boat. Flaxton Gardens and Willow Bud creating bliss! There are so many highlights from our wedding day, but these are a few: definitely walking towards Paul knowing we were finally here and to see him get a little emotional was very special for me.

The kiss and signing our papers were moments that are unforgettable. Other highlights were spending some fun time having photos done with myself and Paul and the bridal party. Everyone was getting a little “merry” towards the end which made the photos all that much fun. It was really nice to spend a little time alone with Paul to realize, ‘wow we just got married’. A great highlight for us was being announced as husband and wife when entering the reception; it was really cool. Our thank you messages are just a few words to thank our family and friends for being a part of our day. It made it all that more special to share it with everyone that means to much to Paul and I. A thank you to all our bridal party for being apart of our day we love you all so much and it wouldn’t have been the same without each and everyone of you. A thank you to my parents, Lisa and Tony and a thank you to Paul’s mum, Kathy for being a great support for us: we would be lost without you. A big thank you to our photographer and his lovely wife for capturing are amazing moments throughout the day. Hair, makeup, florist all the team at Flaxton Gardens: it wouldn’t have been so beautiful without them all. A huge thank you for all our cards and messages we received they were such a pleasure to read all your kind words and well wishes and Paul and I are incredibly humbled by the generosity of our family and friends. We are incredibly happy and enjoying our wonderful married life together.
