These two adventurers who love to “squeeze the last drop out of life” met at the Yak and Yeti Hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal. Scott was heading off to Trek to Everest Base Camp with his boot-camp group and Kalista was exploring Nepal with a friend. The proposal: Scott surprised Kalista with a flight to Cairns (her mum was in on the surprise and she didn’t know where she was going until moments before boarding). He met her at the airport (he flew from Melbourne) and then they got into a hire car. It wasn’t until Kalista saw a few street signs that she guessed Port Douglas was the ultimate destination. The surprises kept coming all weekend!
Scott proposed (on bended knee) on the beach at a secluded alcove near ANZAC Park. Bubbles were nearby to enjoy the sunset then dinner at Harrisons.
It really was such a perfect day for such a wonderful couple.
Having been in a long-distance relationship for three years it is obvious that love held these two together and will continue to do so! All the very best to you both; we felt like we were in the company of friends throughout your day and look forward to hearing more about your lives as they unfold.
