Classic Wedding Photography (with a twist)

What comes to mind when you think of classic wedding photography? It’s not traditional ‘look at the camera’ and smile stuff, it’s about capturing essence and creating longevity beyond fads. Wedding images should last the test of time (apart from the 80s which really did no one any good!). Classic wedding photography should reflect the couple – their dynamic and personalities. For us, Vikki and Bryan are classic in the sense that their love is intensely real and they have an ease in their interactions that shows more than understanding.. and they are FUN!

Wedding Photography Wedding Photography Vikki’s Bridesmaids (in addition to being such sweethearts) were dressed in floral. Everything about this wedding was classic and beautiful but also darn spectacular, colourful and VIBRANT. Of course the theme of a wedding reflects the couple and I would have no hesitation describing V & B as vibrant individuals and a super sweet couple.

Wedding Photography Hmmm… only one preparation photo of Bryan? Yes, it’s true. When Matt arrived the only part of Bryan’s getup ready for action were his shoes and cuff links. Nothing like a little drama and apprehension to check the ticker on your big day. Never fear: with moments to spare his suit ‘flew’ up from the big smoke and all was well. Phew!

Classic Wedding Photography Classic Wedding Photography Vikki and Bryan had two sets of speeches and cake sharing. The first occurred after their ceremony at Immanuel Lutheran Church, and the second at their reception (Ebb Restaurant). Such a super idea to include all those loved ones who are there to celebrate your love. Seriously this cake by Sweetheart Cakes is almost beyond amazing! We also have to give a celebratory ‘high-five’ to Nambour Hospital Florist for these divine bouquets.

Classic Wedding Photography I just had to put this above photo in in its original capture. You can see Matt hard at work here. Not often your photographer gets in on the action within the frame (Don’t worry, we have cropped out his delightful mug for Vikki and Bryan!).

Classic Wedding Photography First dances are just cool; amidst all the people you get to drown out the surroundings and focus on each-other.

Immanuel Lutheran Church – Forest Sanctuary – Wedding Photography – Chloe & Kenny

Sunshine Coast Church Wedding Photographer, Matt Rowe was in high spirits for this Winter Wedding on the Sunshine Coast. Chloe and Kenny shared their vows at the beautiful Immanuel Lutheran Church with a reception at the Forest Sanctuary to follow.

Church Wedding Photographer Immanuel Lutheran Church boasts floor to ceiling windows with an elevated alter. For wedding photography it is a dream if you’re after a religious service as the light is perfect and the cross remains a central focus as you both take your vows and make your promises to one another in the presence of your friends, family and faith.

Church Wedding Photography Sunshine Coast Just loving coloured bridal shoes at the moment!

Church Wedding Photography Sunshine Coast Church Wedding Photography Sunshine Coast Chloe’s dad looked very cool and ‘distinguished’ in his bow-tie and hat . Got to love a dad with flair and fashion sense!

Church Wedding Photography Sunshine Coast Church Wedding Photography Sunshine Coast A favourite moment to capture for a wedding photographer just has to be the groom when he first sights his beautiful bride. You can see Kenny’s joy and emotion clearly as Chloe and her dad walk up the aisle.

Church Wedding Photographer Reflections are one of our favourite ways to involve elements in an image. (If you follow our photography, that will be pretty obvious by now!). The Church windows created the perfect opportunity to get some action shots of the bridal party while Chloe and Kenny remained in the foreground for their super-cool wedding photographs.

Church Wedding Photographer Church Wedding Photographer Church Wedding Photographer So yes, there was a spot of the rain (hello weddings 2013!), but did this dampen the mood? Never! Little spots of reflective brilliance add another quality and dimension to wedding photography.

Church Wedding Photographer Church Wedding Photographer Chloe and Kenny are such a gorgeous couple of love birds – super sweet and super in love. It was a pleasure to photograph their wedding day.

Church Wedding Photographer Church Wedding Photographer Church Wedding Photographer We do like a bit of quirky fun on a wedding day – and while the ‘tin solider’ pose is not for everyone it can provide a little variety in your wedding photos and give you a laugh in years to come. This car timed its drive perfectly for a fun photo.
