Zowie and Jarrad met on-line. Now I’m not talking ‘dating websites’. They both used to play games online and this is where they encountered on another. Zowie made the first move asking Jarrad if he would like to go see ‘Transformers’. “Eventually he agreed”, says Zowie.
Anna and Simon are a pretty special couple who are filled with some amazingly individual and unique ideas for their upcoming December wedding. Their plans will not be revealed here, but are just so rich in symnolism, meaning and heart-felt connection to each other and their loved ones that we know we are in for a very special wedding day.
Hold on to your tail feathers folks; we’re in for a fabulous wedding!
So how did these two meet? Well a lovely high school friend of Jasmyn’s introduced these two love birds one night after Church. It was Matt who spotted Jasmyn first and pursued an introduction. Their first meeting did occur when Jasmyn was in her pjs, obviously ready for a relaxing night when the dashing Matt knocked at her door. Her father had always said,” Jasmyn, you need to get out and meet guys. Your husband is not going to just land on your front door step.” As we can see that fate intervened and Matt did just that!
If it is not getting obvious that there is just too much goodness in this relationship this should be the clincher! Matt wrote on heck of a letter to his beautiful bride before the nuptials began. I have no idea what it said, but there were glassy eyes everywhere.
We just loved spending the day with these two: ready for anything and happy to play around as well.
What a treat. You two deserve the best! What a super bridal party you have to join you on your journey together.

We met Nicola some time ago. She arrived arm in arm with her wonderful mother and lovely Aunty (I say super lovely becuase she was very kind about my first attempt at making a long black with the coffee machine!). I have to say this whole family appeared delightfully relaxed with warm encompassing smiles and sense of humour; these qualities are obviously true to fact as Nicola and Anthony’s wedding day was filled with laughter and warmth. Let’s check them out!
I know, pretty original bridesmaids dresses! So bright and colourful and perfectly suited to our couple. The gorgeous bouquets below were a creation from Flax Flowers Ah Nicola, you are a diva – so sophisticated and elegant! When you meet us to tell us about your wedding plans, you’ll find out that we really love the emotion of a wedding day. One of my [Amanda] favourite moments is when the father-of-the-bride sees her for the first time. You did well, Les! And the kiss… (with celebrant Ann Hills) LOVE, love, love this wedding cake!

Genuine and down right gorgeous are how I would describe Ben and Clea. These two were the winners of our retro styled shoot competition earlier this year and we were so pleased to photograph their real wedding.
Clea’s dress was by Maggie Sottero and Bouquet by Willow Bud.
Wedding Photography at Capriole Estate is a dream. A fine mix of beautiful furnishings and rustic charm see this wedding venue as the perfect place for those couples wishing for a mix of elegant styling and funky vintage.
There are some days when that (terrible) song by Alanis Morissette comes into my head, but then I get thinking of all the creative possibilities that come with a wet wedding. Here we are talking sparkles, lights and a little drama – love it! Yes, some days it rains and if I was going to employ a cliché I’d say, “that’s when the rainbows come out”. Having just doused you with an old 80s tune, I’d rather say, that’s when we have some fun and create some magical memories. Cue the goodness (please add your own sound-track):
Mr Lee Bevington provided the tunes for this loved-up affair. He also provided the rad lighting!
Ben and Clea it’s been a pleasure to get to know you and provide you with some memories of your wedding day. All the very best from us all at MRP HQ.
Venue: Capriole Estate, Noosa Heads
I love books. Truly. I love the entire tangible experience of holding a story and having it come alive before me. I know that there are so many new-fangled Kindle-type ways to read, but I love the feel and the experience of holding something in my hands. With little children I also love the experience of sharing a story with another person and talking through the moments that arise. It’s not hard to guess the segue here: your wedding is a story of more than one amazing day. Within that story there are shared glances, sneaky smiles, teary congratulations and the details that define your style and connection. Fine Art Wedding Albums honour the story of your day. All our albums are designed in-house. Why is this you ask? Frankly we are the ones who you have entrusted with capturing your day. By the time your wedding day arrives we will have connected many times and probably shared stories and maybe a coffee (or two). We have been with you throughout the planning and on your day. I think it would be a little odd to out-source the “telling” of this story to someone you have never met. I’m sure you agree. We work with you to create an album that you love and our process is a really unique one.
Without a doubt I honestly believe that your wedding, your relationship and the story you are going to share with your children and grandchildren deserves to be tangible. It deserves to be quality. It deserves to be lovingly designed by your photographers. I just don’t think that opening up a bottle of red on your first anniversary and snuggling up for a romantic reflection of your wedding day is validated by flicking through images on a screen.
Many couples will even order an album to be prepared in anticipation of their First Anniversary – I love the romance in this idea.

Sunshine Coast Bridal Fashion from the uber talented Judy Copley Bridal. We just adore Judy’s creations. She has so much talent and vision and is such a generous person. Each Gown is lovingly hand-made and unique. What better way to make an impact on your wedding day than have a completely original and outrageously beautiful bridal gown designed by one of the Sunshine Coast’s finest!
Choosing a wedding gown has to be near the top of the wish list after finding the man (or woman) of your dreams, falling in love and getting engaged. I’m pretty sure that the beginning of this search is informed by Disney princesses and crayon drawings and formulates through current trends and bridal inspiration. I’m always excited to see the bride’s dress when we arrive for Bridal Preparation photographs. Sometimes I nod and think, “that’s awesome – saw that coming and it is perfect” and other times I am quite blown away (in a pleasantly surprised way). From sheer lace numbers to volumes of tulle the moment each bride steps into her dress on the day of her wedding has to be one of those defining turning points of the day and carries so much meaning. For many of our brides, they say that it is the moment when it all feels real.
We photography a number of special occasions. Get in touch to book in your wedding, family or maternity shoot. We realise the importance of each stage in life and appreciate your trust in inviting us to capture each moment. Studio 54466702
Love prevails. And when we ensure that love is the cornerstone of a marriage then it is easy to maintain focus. Anita and Mitch displayed this simple, yet essential fact throughout their beautifully heart-warming ceremony at Noosa’s Hidden Grove.
For was was essentially a traditional ceremony, Anita and Mitchell did incorporate some cultural and unique elements. Antia’s family’s Taiwanese heritage was acknowledge in the simple and respectful gesture of Mitchel’s bow. Where their love of the classics found a close friend reading a Shakespearean sonnet. The lovely Mary Bruce held their ceremony and included some really special heart-felt revelations from her individual discussions with Anita and Mitch in the lead up to their big day.
It’s not often that a Hidden Grove Wedding Photographer is faced with an entire Surf Lifesaving Carnival as a backdrop. (The conditions in Coolum did not support the event so half an hour before the ceremony the Carnival was moved to Noosa… sigh). But that’s life and we all roll with it. When you’re in the zone and your focus is clear, however, it is easy to ignore the jet-skis and fluro pink and leave your awareness in the present moment in front of your eyes (phew!). To be honest, I couldn’t say whether Anita and Mitch even noticed the hub-bub during their vows. We love a Noosa Wedding. There is just so much beauty and scope for gorgeous wedding images.
Anita and Mitch, we wish you the greatest life together and thank you for letting us be a part of your day.

Aw guys… you really are such a special couple! We were looking forward to this wonderfully stunning wedding for quite some time. (You may remember Rachel and Shehan’s Engagement shoot at Buderim Falls).
Flowers by the ever-creative Willow Bud made our hearts sing a little more (and in my head, like an angel, which clearly to those who know me is not reality… but that’s the power of beauty, hey!?) Absolute class and elegance would define Rachel as a bride. Bouquets by Willow Bud enhanced the colours and added the vibrance an awesome bouquet is set to do (excellent work, Sandi!). And of course, Shehan was the perfect ‘gentle-man groom’! Some people are just so truly genuine; you know it when you meet them and watching Rachel and Shehan only confirmed this. There is something more than the cliched “sparkle” in the eye; it is like a clam but profound knowing, something so deep yet so light and happy. Ah.. to get me all philosophical must mean this union is a goody! Let us continue:
Noosa Springs is such a perfect venue for a beautiful wedding. At only three minutes from the heart of Noosa, you have access not only to these immaculate grounds, but also the hustle of Hastings Street and the perfection of Noosa’s world renowned beaches.
To summarise what we do (or indeed to do) as Sunshine Coast Fine Art Wedding Photographers: we aim to capture the essence of your relationship in the most favourable way possible. We aim to create some art in the process. Starting our love of Photography in seascapes and nature photography we always take into account the lighting and the scenery to ensure that your memories are awesome and you have treasures to love and display on your walls until you’re in your 90s enjoying a cup of tea and a bickie in the front room together.
Rachel and Shehan, you guys have been just a joy to have journeyed with and we wish you the pleasure of a fulfilled life together!
